![]() You can actually buy the v600 120 holder for around $11, it works just fine with the v500. The actual transparency adapter in the v500 is large enough to scan more that the supplied holder allows for (after all, it can scan a 6 frame strip of 35mm film). The only difference between the two scanners in this regard is that the v600 comes with a different 120 film holder, that has a larger opening that the 120 holder that comes with the v500. The V600 is advertised as being able to scan more 120 negatives, but this really isn't entirely true. I don't know if there is any significant improvements in the actual hardware or software, but I would point out something about the v600 being able to scan more 120 negatives. Personally, I don't see any real advantages of the v600 over the v500.
